This position will work in the Business Sales and Development department of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., reporting to the Director of Business Sales. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the execution of key online content initiatives for the department. Key projects and duties will include the following:
Develop and drive content strategy for an online consumer web experience; create and manage editorial calendars
Be an effective project manager for entire content development cycle; manage internal and contracted web development, business, content production, and technology partners
Procure content from third party providers, bloggers, and syndicated feeds
Gather insights from online audience engagement, and synthesize learnings to drive and optimize content strategy
Coordinate departmental and inter-department marketing and operational teams on projects and processes, focusing on web content development, web editors, and online creative resources.
Gather inputs for key presentations to senior leadership
Requirements:
10+ years of experience with a major online publishing house or interactive agency.
7+ years experience managing content and editorial strategy for major online publication, preferably shelter-oriented.
Experience publishing with open-source content management systems
Experience managing sponsored content, and/or rich media campaigns
Experience with online audience engagement metrics
Excellent communicator and team player, with ability to manage tasks efficiently and independently; multi-tasking on a broad scope of project fronts.
Superior writing, editorial and presentation skills.
Experience in social media or online community management a plus
Bachelor?s degree required. Masters degree a plus.
