Does Fate Exist?

I've been wondering this a while, some people believe they're destined to meet this person you love, but I don't know what to think. My thoughts on fate are very questionable, for instance I believe the whole system counteracts free-will since fate is essentially saying your life is guided and your actions are moot. Although it could be said I'm looking to far into it, but like with my other debates on here, this isn't an easy question, it never was really.

So do you believe your actions all lead to this pre-determined goal, and nothing you can do, would change this goal?

The locals scream and shout a bit,
