Skin cancer!

Last week I got an e-mail from a friend who underwent surgery for skin cancer. It all started with a small mole on her face. She let it go for four years, putting off going to the doctor and having it checked. She finally went in and during surgery doctors found that little mole close to her nose had deep roots in her cheek. The cancer went far beyond the small mole! Her doctor had to carve the inside of her cheek and mouth to get it all out! She had other small moles removed and had to get a skin graph!
She admitted that as a teenager she would lather on baby oil and lay in the sun for hours to get that perfect tan!
Those of you who have moles ? anywhere in your body ? have them checked. Tomorrow is a perfect opportunity to play connect- the-dots with your spouse or loved one! After all, Tuesday is Valentine?s Day!
