Four Long Island Rail Road trains will be replaced with buses on trips to the last three stops on the Port Washington Branch for?about three?hours early Saturday morning.
The 1:19 a.m. and 3:19 a.m. trains from Penn Station to Port Washington will terminate at the Great Neck station, where riders can board buses and trains to Manhasset, Plandome and Port Washington.
The 2:10 a.m. and 3:40 a.m. trains from Port Washington to Penn Station will start in Great Neck. Riders can board buses and vans from Manhasset, Plandome and Port Washington to catch the train in Great Neck.
Riders should plan for an additional 30 minutes of travel time.
The service interruptions will come as LIRR crews are will be conducting track inspections. The work was scheduled for the overnight hours in order to impact as few riders as possible.
